ABOUT KRAFTY SEW AND SO
My Story
Hi, I'm Kelly the creator of Krafty Sew and So. I have three amazing children, a supportive husband and 4 crazy cats.
I work from home in my bedroom and I have transformed half of the room into my sewing studio.
I am a very creative and artistic person. I have a huge fabric obsession and I love to sew, it's my therapy!
I took a keen interest in sewing at a very young age. When I was younger I used to watch my Nanna and Mum sew.
When old enough they passed their sewing skills on to me and I took to it very quickly, it was something I really enjoyed.
I even studied textiles and art & design at school. Then fine art and media studies at sixth form college.
Sadly, my Nanna has since passed away but I know she would be proud of me for how far I have come!
My Mum guides me now and she has been known to sew along side of me when I have lots of projects on the go at once.
I also have lots of support from my Mother in Law. She is an incredible sewer and in her younger years, she used to work for Harrods as a machinist. Many years later she had her own business making luxurious curtains for manor houses.
In December 2019 I made some products to sell at a local Christmas craft fair. The craft fair was a huge success and
Krafty Sew and So was Born! From there I decided to open an Etsy shop as well so even more people could enjoy my items.
Since then I have created accounts on various social media platforms where I blog to keep my customers or anyone that has a keen interest in sewing updated with what my latest project maybe or what I have been doing.
No matter what project I am working on, whether it be one or several at once, I take pride in my work no matter how long it takes. I will only use the best quality fabrics I can source but I also like to offer my products at affordable prices.
Since the start, my customers have relied on me for quality and exceptional service and that it what I give!
I have also met some great people a long the way too and without all the support I wouldn't be where I am today.
